Our Story

How Marcos Became Marco Island's marcos pizza Landmark

Marcos was born from a simple love of great food and genuine hospitality. When founder Marco Delgado arrived on Marco Island, FL in the late 2000s, he spotted something the community was missing — a neighbourhood spot where families could gather over perfectly crafted marco's pizza, wood-fired grill dishes, and honest home-cooked favourites.

Starting with just five tables and a hand-built stone oven, the marcos pizza recipe handed down from Marco's Neapolitan grandmother became an instant hit. Word spread quickly along Collier Boulevard, and within two years a full renovation was needed to accommodate the growing crowd.

    The First Stone Oven

    Marco Delgado opens Marcos with 5 tables, a hand-built stone pizza oven, and one dream — to bring authentic Neapolitan marco's pizza to Marco Island, FL.

  • 2011

    First Expansion

    Demand for marcos pizza exceeded all expectations. We doubled our dining room capacity, added a full grill station, and hired our first sous chef.

  • 2014

    Catering & Events Launch

    We launched our catering division, bringing the same fresh marco pizza quality to weddings, corporate events, and island celebrations across Collier County.

  • 2017

    Best Pizza Award

    Named "Best Pizza on Marco Island" by the Marco Island Sun Times — a recognition of the team's relentless dedication to the craft of great marcos pizza.
